LIM College Strategic Plan Update – September 21, 2010
LIM College has embarked on a comprehensive, institution-wide strategic planning effort that will take place throughout the academic year. This is an important project that will benefit everyone in the College community. If LIM College is truly “Where Business Meets Fashion,” then we must develop a strategic plan that similarly combines bold and imaginative ideas.
The entire LIM College community – including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and board members – will have a number of different ways to contribute to the strategic planning process, including serving on task forces, participating in surveys, and sharing your thoughts in focus groups and meetings. All of your ideas, concerns and insights are welcome and appreciated. We will be opening the lens wide and this will only work if you are candid and open.
The strategic planning process will produce a set of strategic initiatives, as well as specific goals and action plans for attaining them. This work will be carried out largely by a Strategic Planning Committee composed of faculty and staff members, as well as alumni and student representatives. We have also assembled Alumni and Student Sub-Committees, so that their unique perspectives can be brought to bear on this process. In addition, the Strategic Planning Committee will be assisted by specialized task forces drawn from throughout the LIM College community.
Dr. Jacqueline LeBlanc, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Gail Nardin, Senior Director of Institutional Advancement, are co-chairing the Strategic Planning Committee.
