About LIM College
Hilda Alfonso has taught at LIM College since 2009, starting as an adjunct faculty member and becoming a full-time faculty member in 2014. She currently teaches Textiles and Fashion Fundamentals.
Professor Alfonso has extensive professional experience in the fashion industry. Most recently, she was a Sales Manager for Ulster Weavers, where her responsibilities included maintaining accounts with annual sales of $10 million and being involved in all aspects of customer fabric testing. She has also been a Production Manager for E.S. Sutton, Inc. (Kmart Private Label) and a Production Coordinator for Bentex Group, a company which coordinates licensed apparel for brands including Sesame Street, Disney and Peanuts.
Professor Alfonso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Management Textiles from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Fluent in Spanish, she is an avid runner and volunteers with her local chapter of Meals on Wheels.
