President and CEO of Zac Posen and Scoop NYC Next in MBA Program's CEO Speaker Series
Susan Davidson to address students on April 26
Susan Davidson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Zac Posen and Scoop NYC, will speak to students in LIM College's MBA Program on April 26 at 5:30 p.m. in FashionOpolis (12 East 53rd St.).
Launched in the fall of 2010, the CEO Speaker Series brings the best and brightest minds in the retail and apparel industries on campus to interact with LIM College’s MBA students in an intimate and informal setting.
Davidson has served as President and CEO of Scoop NYC since September 2009 and was given additional responsibilities in September 2010 as President and CEO of designer Zac Posen’s business. She oversees both the Zac Posen and the Z Spoke businesses.
Prior to joining Scoop, Davidson was President & CEO of Creative Design Studios, part of the Hudson’s Bay Trading Company. Earlier in her career, she was President of Denim and Non-Apparel for Liz Claiborne Inc. She joined Liz Claiborne in January 1997 as Vice President General Manager for Dana Buchman, and from 1999 through 2004 served as President of DKNY Jeans.
Davidson spent seven years prior to joining Liz Claiborne Inc. as Merchandise Manager for Henri Bendel and seven years as President of Chaus.
Born in Germany and raised in Manhattan, Davidson, a former ballet dancer, graduated from the High School of Performing Arts. She later received both her undergraduate degree and MBA from New York University.
The daughter of an opera singer, Davidson is a lover of the theatre and performing arts. She currently sits on the board of the Ruth Davidson Hahn Dance Company, which her sister founded. She is also an active member of the Soho Partnership, a division of the Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE)
