Visual Merchandising Students Customize Accessories at Fashion's Night Out Event

LIM College students work with Candy Store at Lord & Taylor

Four LIM College students (Katie Kaminkow, Adrianna Pinks, Erin Mino and Danielle Flowers) were at Lord & Taylor during Fashion's Night Out on Sept. 8 to customize Candy Store accessories.

Candy Store makes silicone-based items including clutches, coin purses, and more. The company's products, which will be sold at Lord & Taylor this fall, made their debut at the Fashion's Night Out event at the Fifth Avenue flagship store. The four students creatively customized these items for each buyer using enamel paint. Among those purchasing Candy Store merchandise were Candy Pratts Price, Creative Director of vogue.com

Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy. This year, Fashion’s Night Out took place in New York City and over 250 cities nationwide to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that included designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York. Last year more than 15,000 people came to Lord & Taylor during Fashion's Night Out.
