LIM College Launches "Globalspeak" Speaker Series
Muriel Glasgow will be on campus Oct. 13 to discuss her experiences at the Clinton Global Initiative and First Ladies Summit
LIM College and the Student Government Association (SGA) are introducing a new event series for students. Known as "Globalspeak," it will bring people who are actively involved in all types of global issues to the LIM College campus.
Says Michael Palladino, Director of Student Life, "We want to create an interactive dialogue to engage our students beyond the classroom and prepare them to not only be potential business leaders, but also to be global citizens."
Globalspeak events will include a combination of guest speakers, panel discussions, and film screenings and occur twice each semester.
According to Palladino, "It is an academic enhancement meant to stimulate conversation, open opportunities, and create a global awareness of people, places and issues."
The first event is scheduled for Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in FashionOpolis. Muriel Glasgow, a humanitarian activist who has worked with the United Nations, will be the first speaker. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
