About LIM College
Patti Jordan is a Lecturer in the Visual Merchandising Department, teaching Technical Drawing and Design, Color + Design, and Advanced Display Graphics on the undergraduate level and 3D Communication in the Master of Professional Studies degree program. She joined LIM College as an adjunct faculty member in 2013 and began teaching full-time the following year.
Professor Jordan is a multidisciplinary artist who works within the realms of both commercial and fine art. She has worked for ABC, CNBC, Lifetime Television, SAT 1 Sport & News (Germany) and Fox News.
An exhibiting fine artist and lecturer, Professor Jordan is the President of the New York Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art and a member of the New Media Caucus, the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Her published work includes the UN Commission on the Status of Women Conference (2014) and articles for ArtCat Zine (2008 and 2009). She is the recipient of a Ford Foundation Award (1982) and a Type Director’s Club Award (1997), as well as an honorarium for the LineWeight Contemporary Drawing Exhibition at Truman State University (2008).
Professor Jordan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute and a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Montclair State University. In her spare time she enjoys visiting art and historical museums, attending Broadway shows and other live performances, and spending time on the New Jersey coastline.
