International Business Major

LIM College - International Business

It’s a small world. And both business and fashion are international languages.

If you’re interested in the business side of the fashion industry in today’s global society, you’ll need to understand the relationships between multiple industries and countries—not to mention the cultures, laws, finances, and politics that accompany them. LIM College’s program in International Business will help you understand, and succeed, in the some of the world’s most fascinating and lucrative markets.

Our distinctive Bachelor of Science (BS) in International Business will introduce you to fashion’s global markets, economies, politics, and cultures of the world, and LIM College will prepare you to think, plan, and conduct business on a global stage.

As an International Business major at LIM College, a sample of your coursework will include:

  • Diplomacy
  • Fashion fundamentals
  • Foreign languages
  • Global management
  • Intercultural communications
  • International trade
  • World religions

We support rigorous academics with required experiential education. That means you’ll complete at least one internship in your field of study at a global organization. Macy’s, Li & Fung, PVH, Oxford Industries, Bloomsbury Publishing, SAKS, and Gucci are just some of the companies where LIM students have interned.

Our program also incorporates specially designed liberal arts courses that foster critical thinking, written and oral communication, and mathematical and scientific reasoning—skills that will serve you well here in the United States and anywhere else your career takes you. To round out your experience, BS students are strongly encouraged to pursue a semester abroad through one of LIM College’s foreign partner institutions in Europe, Asia, or Australia.
