Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies
Daniel Chaskes joined LIM College’s Department of Arts & Sciences in 2014 as Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. In addition to teaching English Composition, he leads literature and arts electives that allow him to share his research interests in global Anglophone literature, American ethnic literature, cultural theory, and the 20th century avant-garde.
Prior to joining LIM, Professor Chaskes taught at the University of Miami, Miami Dade College, and Miami International University of Art and Design. His scholarly work has appeared in Journal of Modern Literature and Comparative Literature and Culture, and his book reviews have been published by American Literature, Modern Fiction Studies, and English Studies in Canada.
Professor Chaskes holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of British Columbia as well as an M.A. in English from University College London.
