Academics
Undergraduate Majors & Concentrations
Your learning at LIM College will be extremely focused and hands-on. No matter which area of the business of fashion you wish to enter—and we have many students who are undecided when they come to us—our curriculum will prepare you.
Here you’ll develop the knowledge and skills you need for a career in the business of fashion—the important behind-the-scenes work not directly related to design. You can pursue a bachelor’s degree in one of four subject areas:
• Fashion Merchandising
• Marketing
• Management
• Visual Merchandising
All of these majors will provide you with a solid background in business, fashion and the liberal arts through a combination of academics and practical work experience.
Regardless of which major you choose, you will take two Field Trip classes and two Fashion Survey classes. In addition, you will complete Work Project I, Work Project II and Senior Co-op. These all give you the opportunity to explore first-hand the variety and scope of opportunities offered in the business of fashion.
You can also select a concentration from the list below. This will allow you to pursue a focused area of study that complements your major.
• Cosmetics
• Entrepreneurship
• Event Planning

• Fashion Publishing
• International Marketing
• Retailing
