Professor John Deming’s poem “Quadruple Abecedarian” was published on David Lehman's The Best American Poetry blog in April 2009.
In August 2009, "Notes on the Land of Earthquake & Fire," a play by LIM College Professor Jason Schafer, received praise in The New York Times Arts Beat blog. Jason Zinoman wrote, "The evening ended with a highlight, 'Notes on the Land of Earthquake & Fire,' Jason Schafer’s absorbing, well-made thriller about Hollywood power games, sexual politics and the aphrodisiac of power that owes a debt to David Mamet. The acting was refined, the direction meticulous and the writing more polished than most new plays opening Off Broadway."
