Christy Caroselli Marketing - Class of 2012

“I love working backstage at Fashion Week: there’s so much excitement and energy in the air! I assisted at Heidi Klum’s Red Carpet Party. The event was filled with cameras and celebrities!”

Rubbing shoulders with celebrities, models, and top designers is a fantasy for some. For Marketing major Christy Caroselli, it’s business as usual. This ambitious sophomore from Woodland Park, New Jersey has taken advantage of LIM College’s excellent connections in the fashion industry to work backstage at numerous shows during New York’s Fashion Week, helping out in the tents at Bryant Park for People’s Revolution, Russell Simmons, and Jordache.

In addition to making good use of the many volunteer opportunities given to LIM College students, Christy stays busy with her work in the Fashion Styling Club, the group responsible for styling LIM College’s annual student Fashion Show, and writing for Fashionista, the College’s student magazine.

Her favorite class is Fashion Survey, where industry professionals speak to students about their careers in fashion. Christy has been inspired by many of these visiting professionals, and even turned one relationship into an offer to participate backstage at six Fashion Week events!

Christy hopes to launch her own fashion magazine one day, and once she becomes a successful fashion professional in her own right, would like to start a charity for the blind.
