International Student Application Procedures
LIM College welcomes international student applications from across the globe. We have a rolling admissions policy, but we strongly recommend that you submit your application as early as possible in order to allow enough time for a visa to be issued. The visa process will be started only upon your acceptance to the College.
To be considered for undergraduate admission you must:
• Submit an Application for Admission and $40 non-refundable application fee. You may apply online or print a paper application
• Submit two letters of recommendation
• Take part in a telephone interview
• Submit the required essay
• Have all transcripts evaluated by World Education Services (Course-by-course evaluation with GPA and course levels)
• An Activity Sheet is strongly recommended. Download suggested guidelines for the Activity Sheet.
• Complete appropriate standardized test requirements (see below)
Standardized Test Requirements
If you attend a high school or college for which English is not the primary language, you must submit either TOEFL, IELTS, or Pearson's Test of English (PTE) scores. We also recommend submitting the SAT or ACT in order to strengthen your application.
| Test | Minimum Score |
| TOEFL (PBT) | 550 |
| TOEFL (IBT) | 80 |
| IELTS | 6.5 |
| PTE | 58 |
If you attend a high school or college for which English is the primary language (i.e. IB programs or American Universities), you will be judged on a case-by-case basis regarding whether you must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. Please consult with your admissions counselor after you have provided your transcripts.
Your TOEFL or IELTS requirement will be waived and SAT or ACT will be required if:
• You are a high school student (or college transfer with less than 21 credits) from a country in which English is the primary language.
• You have completed at least 3 years of high school within the US and are on track to, or have earned, a diploma.
Test requirements will be waived if you have earned at least 58 college credits or an associate degree from an accredited US college or university.
All instances that do not fit within these specified criteria will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
After review of your application, the Office of Admissions reserves the right to request additional documentation and/or translation of materials in support of your application.
