New Places and Spaces at LIM College

9/1/2009

There are some new and exciting spaces on the LIM College campus for the start of the 2009 – 2010 academic year.

The College’s new student lounge, bookstore and cafe are located on the first floor of Maxwell Hall (216 East 45th St.) LIM College has converted the entire first floor of Maxwell Hall into a modern, comfortable lounge space that includes Jittery Joe’s Coffee Bar, a new LIM College Bookstore, and plenty of room to study, lounge, or catch up with friends.

LIM College is also proud to announce the opening of the Center for Career Development at 226 East 54th St.  - 2nd floor (formerly known as the Office of Career Services and located at 216 East 45th St.).  This facility is exclusively dedicated to offering career development services, and includes new offices, interview and meeting rooms, as well as state-of-the-art software -- including Simplicity (which allows employers to post jobs directly to LIM College), and Optimal Resume.

The Math Center is now located on the third floor of Maxwell Hall. This new spacious and tranquil environment is a multi-functional resource. It includes a quiet study area and a space for extended testing time, and continues to offer a range of math tutoring services and workshops.

LIM College also now has names for all four of its buildings. In addition to Maxwell Hall at 216 East 45th Street and The Center for Career Development at 226 East 54th Street, 12 East 53rd Street will now be called “The Townhouse” and 545 5th Avenue has been named “Fifth Avenue.”
