Tyler Emerson entered Saks’ Executive Excellence training program immediately after graduating from LIM College, and he’s now an Assistant Planner for their European Couture.
Tyler reports that the skills he acquired at LIM College provided a solid foundation for him to be successful in his current position. He cites Merchandise Planning and Control as a course that was particularly helpful. He also gained experience during internships at Juicy Couture and Atrium.
Tyler advises future LIM students to utilize all the resources available to them, including professors, classes, and clubs, and says, “To really succeed you need to be dynamic and adapt to change. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes -- they help you learn new things.”
