LIM College Transit Advertising Campaign Wins Educational Advertising Award


Recognition earned in national competition for fourth consecutive year

LIM College faculty member in suitLIM College has won a Gold award in the 28th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. This is the fourth consecutive year that LIM College has earned recognition in the national awards program.

The Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the U.S. This year, nearly 3,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 U.S. states and several foreign countries. Gold awards were granted to only 167 institutions.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

LIM College's 2012-2013 transit advertising campaign, which began in late August of 2012, placed ads in subway cars throughout all five boroughs and on Metro-North and Long Island Railroad platforms, reaching millions of riders each day. The campaign features LIM College students and faculty members.

Through the use of fresh imagery, bold colors, and clever copy, the campaign takes building awareness of the College’s brand to a whole new level. It highlights, with confidence and personality, hallmarks of the LIM College brand, including its focus on the business of fashion, its New York City location, and the one-of-a-kind experiential education opportunities provided to students.

The ads were designed and produced by Creative Communication Associates (CCA), an Albany, New York-based marketing and communications firm which works with a diverse array of colleges, universities, and specialty schools nationwide. CCA has been LIM College’s marketing partner since 2003.
