LIM College Faculty Celebrate Diversity with "Threads of Color" Event
LIM College student receives scholarship at "Salute to America"
LIM College faculty members Ionia Dunn-Lee and Ron Knoth are committed to celebrating diversity in the fashion industry – and helping fashion students achieve their dreams. As such, they are two of the driving forces behind Threads of Color, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the fashion industry by celebrating the global diversity of American fashion designers and raising scholarship funds for fashion college students.
On January 11, Threads of Color held a "Salute to America" at the Bernstein Display Showroom on West 25th Street in Manhattan. Fashionistas and supporters gathered for an evening that included cocktails, live music, a silent auction, a mannequin display and informal modeling. Participating designers included Carmen Marc Valvo, Stephen Burrows, Tracy Reese, and Kevan Hall.
LIM College student Fallon Davis (pictured above) also received a $500 scholarship at the event.
