Field Trip Experiences

Designer Tommy Hilfiger with his sister Betsey and three LIM students

Each of the Experiential Education Seminars incorporates opportunities for students to gain insights into the fashion industry and possible careers through field trip visits to a wide range of organizations.

Field Trip Experiences are a unique opportunity for students to explore the fashion industry first-hand. An essential part of the LIM College curriculum, Field Trips are a required component of all Experiential Education Seminars.

Through the Field Trip Experiences, students visit various companies in New York City. The locations are diverse and range from showrooms and buying offices to magazines and public relations firms. Students also have the opportunity to meet with an employee of that company who will share their insights into the fashion industry.

Field Trips give students an awareness of a range of career options and provides them with valuable networking opportunities.
