LIM College Supplemental Scholarships
LIM College offers you a number of need-based and non-need-based competitive scholarships. Entering Freshman and Transfer students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements should submit a personal statement to their admissions counselor no later than April 1, 2013 with the understanding that other criteria may be required.
The Continuing Student supplemental scholarship application deadline is April 5, 2013. Applications must be post-marked by April 5, 2013.

Non-Need-Based

| Adrian G. Marcuse Presidential Scholarship | A student who entered LIM College as a first-year, first-semester freshman and who is now entering her or his senior year beginning the fall semester. | Alan Feigenbaum Scholarship Established in honor of Professor Feigenbaum - a former faculty member in Math, Finance, & Technology - to recognize his devotion to teaching and unwavering commitment to student success. |
Current LIM College student entering their third year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Must have completed first two years at LIM College including both College Algebra and Statistics with a B or better. | $2,500 per year. Non-renewable. | Submit a separate 500- word essay on “The Creative Application of Mathematics” in Management, Marketing, Merchandising or Visual Merchandising along with your scholarship application by April 5, 2013. | Leah Ryan Scholarship Established in honor of Professor Ryan for her devotion to teaching LIM College students who struggle to write well and persist in doing so. |
Current LIM College students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must have passed Writing Essentials and earned a B or better in English Composition 1. Need not a factor. | Two awards of $1,500. Non-renewable. | Submit a separate creative 500-word essay that discusses a physical job, an art, or a hobby that you are working to master along with your scholarship application by April 5, 2013. No FAFSA necessary. |
| LIM College Business Leadership Scholarship | Entering freshmen and transfer students who are active members of DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, or SIFE. Current LIM College students who are in leadership roles in LIM College clubs or organizations. |
Limited number of awards of $3,000 per year. Continued club leadership and participation required along with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for renewal. | One of your two letters of recommendation must be from Club Advisor. Limited number of awards of $1,000 per year. Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and enrollment as a VM major for renewal consideration. |

| Display & Design Ideas Magazine's Visual Merchandising Scholarship |
Current LIM College student who has completed first year of Introduction to Visual Merchandising (VMER 100) with a B or better. Student must demonstrate above average talent and have an interest in pursuing a retail career as a visual merchandiser. Must also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 after attending at least one semester at LIM College. Need is also a factor. | One award of $2,000. Non-renewable. | FAFSA required. | Essence Magazine Scholarship | Incoming freshman who is African-American or African-Caribbean. Based on need and ability. | One award of $2,000. | FAFSA required. Current LIM College student who is the first in their family to attend college and was born (or has a parent who was born) outside of the U.S. Must also have worked in high school and is continuing to work part-time while enrolled at LIM College to help with their educational expenses. Need and ability are factors. | One award of $1,500 per year. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at LIM College after having attended at least two semesters with a math grade of at least a B. Non-renewable | FAFSA Required. Submit a separate 300 to 400-word essay in which you discuss your work history and financial need to continue working. Resume also required. *Please note that unless otherwise specified, LIM College scholarships may only be applied to the full-time flat rate tuition for the fall and spring semesters at LIM College. All scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis and LIM College reserves the right to make adjustments to these awards. Note that one supplemental scholarship is offered per scholarship recipient.
