Financial Aid

Financial Aid and Assistance

Choosing to attend college is a big investment in your future, and it is one of the most personally rewarding and demanding challenges you will ever accept. LIM is a great value - we combine an outstanding private education and real-world, career-building experience with one of the most affordable and competitive tuition rates in the New York City metropolitan area.

Along with your investment of time and effort, your college education requires financing.  At LIM we are committed to helping students explore financing options that will enable them to reach their educational goals. During 2013-2014, approximately 80% of LIM College students received some form of aid, averaging $21,182 (including all loans) per student.  We offer a variety of scholarships, grants, loans and student employment opportunities, all designed to support the entire educational career of our students.

Most students find they are eligible for a financial aid package, which commonly includes a variety of financial aid sources such as LIM College itself, the LIM Fashion Education Foundation, the federal and state governments, and external agencies.  Financial aid may be based on merit and/or financial need.  It is important to research and apply for all forms of aid for which you may be eligible.  All students are strongly encouraged to apply for financial aid every year by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

We hope that the information here will provide you with the resources you need to complete the financial aid application process for LIM. We are also happy to answer any questions you have and provide you with guidance throughout this process. Through our partnership with you and assistance with financial aid planning, an LIM education is not only attainable; it can also be very affordable.
