“LIM College builds its curriculum around experiential learning paradigms where students are required to engage in their chosen field through real work experiences, projects and extracurricular activity.”
Professor Dudley Blossom, Chair of LIM College’s Marketing & Management Department, has seen what LIM College can do for a motivated student. “One student had an idea for a brand extension. She developed the idea through the semester and pitched it to the parent brand. She had the knowledge and confidence to walk into the owner’s office and say ‘I have a great idea that I think will work.’ The idea has since moved into an investigation phase with the parent brand.”
Professor Blossom credits LIM College’s experiential learning programs, achievement-oriented mindset, and career development programs with helping students emerge from the College ready for success in the fashion industry. “The combination of an experiential, career-focused learning environment, a track record of student success, and a strong culture of support and camaraderie makes LIM College truly unique.”
LIM College helps students get to where they want to go. Professor Blossom recounts a student with an interest in eCommerce who “used the resources of the College to help her find an internship in eCommerce that worked with her academic background in merchandising and public relations. When the internship ended, she walked into the world and quickly found a job maintaining a large web retail system.” He characterizes LIM College as a place that supports innovative thinking and considered goal-setting.
Professor Blossom teaches in the Marketing & Management Department on the undergraduate level, as well as in the College’s MBA program, with a focus in international business and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining LIM College, he lived and taught in Eastern Europe at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He also works with organizations as a corporate trainer and speaker.
