Prospective Students > Admissions > Application Procedures Application Procedures LIM accepts applications on a rolling admission basis. You may apply at any time up to the beginning of the fall or spring term until all openings are filled. However, it is strongly suggested to apply as early as possible. Once all application materials have been submitted, students applying for the fall semester will be notified within four to six weeks beginning December 15. When applying for spring semester, you will be notified within three to four weeks once all application materials are submitted. Upon acceptance to the college, a $400 enrollment deposit secures your place. To be considered for admission, you must submit:
To be considered for Early Action Admission you must complete all of the above and submit the Early Action Applicant Form on or before November 15. Special information for transfer students and part-time students Transfer Students: How to Apply Transfer students may enter LIM in either semester and with any amount of credit accumulation. Students with an Associate Degree may be accepted for full junior standing, but will be required to fulfill all degree and resident requirements. For all transfer students, credits with a "D" grade are not accepted without a degree. LIM also recognizes credits obtained through the College Proficiency Examination Program (CPEP) and The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) of the College Board where appropriate. College Board Advanced Placement tests may be acceptable for advanced standing and credit. Grades for any credits awarded under these programs will not be computed in the student's Grade Point Index.* *In all cases, at least 33 credits and one work experience must be completed at LIM including the final 33 credits. Part-Time Students: How to Apply To participate in work projects, internships or the senior semester, part-time students must complete the pre-requisite courses, be matriculated in a degree program and have completed a minimum of 15 credits at LIM before receiving a work assignment. For permanent placement, all part-time students must be degree candidates and registered at LIM for their final semester. |
