Degree Program Requirements
The Bachelor of Business Administration and the Bachelor of Professional Studies degrees require a minimum of 127 credits with a cumulative average of 2.00 and satisfactory completion of all coursework and other credit requirements.

The Associate Degrees require 66 credits for two-year students, 33 credits for ACCESS students and a 2.00 academic average, along with curriculum requirements.

After each semester students receive a progress report. Grades awarded and their point values are: A (4.00), B+ (3.50), B (3.00), C+ (2.50), C (2.00), D (1.00) and F (0.00). Each semester students who excel academically are recognized through the President's and Dean's Lists. Full-time students who fail no classes within the semester and who earn a semester GPA of 3.80 or higher are included in the President's List, while students who earn a semester GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 are included in the Dean's List.

Good Standing Requirements and Options
Good standing requires satisfactory progress toward a degree. For full-time students this is the ability to complete the Bachelor's degree in no more than 10 semesters, or the Associate's degree in six semesters. Part-time students must complete the Bachelor's degree in 20 semesters, the Associate's degree in no more than 12 semesters.

Students who have lost good standing and have been dismissed may appeal to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs to be re-admitted as a part-time student.  If the appeal is approved, the student may re-enter the College under the following conditions:

*The student may take up to a maximum of three credit or non-credit courses, excluding Fashion Survey and Field Trip,
*must complete all PASS assignments, and
*must maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 and receive a Pass in all non-credit courses.

At the end of one semester on academic probation, the student will either be reinstated to full-time status or be dismissed with no right of appeal.

Students not in good standing are subject to dismissal and will lose financial assistance until good standing is regained. Students who have been dismissed may apply for re-admission after one semester.

Academic Probation
Academic probation results when a student does not meet the minimum established academic requirements listed below.

A student on academic probation will be in good standing until academic probation continues for two successive semesters or a total of three terms in either degree program. Good standing is also forfeited if a student's grade point average falls below 1.00 in any semester.

Probation is based on the previous semester's grades and credits taken. In addition, the student must maintain at least the minimum cumulative grade point average and cumulative credits.

Reasons for Dismissal
At LIM, we consider ourselves to be a community of intelligent adults. We promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and support. The Rules of Conduct have been established to maintain this environment. Abuse of school regulations, poor academic performance, disruptive conduct or violations of dress standards are considered breaches of student responsibility and can result in dismissal. Violation of these policies and standards or engaging in illegal activities on campus will lead to dismissal.

Leaving a Work Project, Internship or Co-op before its completion without the college's approval will result in a lowered grade and possible course failure. Being fired from any of these positions, as well as failure to meet commitments to any foreign or other special program, will result in a failing grade and may be cause for dismissal.

Campus Conduct
In accordance with Federal law, LIM maintains a drug and substance abuse-free campus. Sexual harassment is not tolerated. Details on these policies and penalties for violation, as well as programs for awareness and prevention, are explained in the LIM Student Handbook, a copy of which is given to each student. In over half a century, there have been no reportable incidents of crime at LIM.

Grievance Procedure
LIM provides a grievance procedure which allows students to protest any grade received or sanction imposed. Complete details are published in the Student Handbook.
