LIM Students Create Rockefeller Center Window Display
December 19, 2005 -

Students at LIM, the College for the Business of Fashion, are helping Executive Health Exams International (EHE) promote health and wellness this holiday season with a festive window display at EHE's world headquarters in Rockefeller Center.

Students in LIM's Visual Merchandising program were asked by Danielides Communications, Inc., a New York City-based public relations agency, to design and install a window presentation for EHE at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, in close proximity to the Center's famed Christmas tree.

The criteria for the window display was that it be festive, in keeping with the holiday season, and that it celebrate EHE's commitment to health awareness and preventive healthcare. EHE is the oldest and largest preventive healthcare organization in the country and the leader in annual physical exams. Each month, EHE donates its window space to a different non-profit organization in order to help them spread their message as well as the EHE mission of preventive healthcare and that Early Detection and Prevention (of life threatening illnesses) Saves Lives.

LIM students Brian Ill, Nicole Tribble, Mark Holcomb and Meaghan Duffy took on the challenge and designed and installed a Christmas window under the guidance of the chairperson of LIM's Visual Merchandising department, Eric Feigenbaum, and LIM faculty member Marjorie Lee Woo.

The window, which highlights the "Gift of Good Health," features handmade contemporary Christmas trees and upholstered letters spelling out the word "health." "Awareness" is also spelled out in brilliant red letters, amidst a blizzard of oversized snowflakes falling against an undulating blue wall.

"As we educate the next generation of visual merchandising professionals, we are pleased to partner with Executive Health Exams International to help draw the public's attention to the importance of preventive healthcare," says LIM President Elizabeth S. Marcuse. "This project also provides our students with the type of hands-on experience that is the hallmark of an LIM education."

"We are extremely pleased to have partnered with LIM to bring the message of health awareness to the public during the holiday season. The students created a truly beautiful display that will make all who pass through Rockefeller Center stop and think about the importance of good health as we enter the New Year," stated Executive Health Exams International President Deborah McKeever.

The window can be seen from December 19 through the end of the month.
