LIM student Jessie Morgenstern got the opportunity of a lifetime when she won an essay contest sponsored by CosmoGIRL! magazine to interview famed fashion designer Michael Kors for their March 2007 issue.

Jessie's interview with Kors is part of CosmoGIRL!'s "Project 2024," which urges readers to take action and pursue leadership roles in their schools and communities. Each month, CosmoGIRL! features an interview, conducted by a CosmoGIRL! reader, with a powerful figure who has reached the top in their industry. The inspiration for the project comes from the idea that in the year 2024 a CosmoGIRL! reader will be eligible to run for President, and the magazine wants to start training her for a leadership role now -- whether she's headed for the Oval Office or the corner office of a Fortune 500 company.

He spoke from the heart and sincerely meant what he said. Sitting there listening to his incredible stories and words of wisdom truly inspired me to work my hardest and to achieve all of my goals.
