Teen Vogue Editors Help Kick Off LIM's Summer Fashion Lab
July 9, 2007 -

Three of Teen Vogue's top editors were at LIM on Monday, July 9 for a panel discussion to kick off LIM's Fashion Lab: Summer in the City program for high school students.

Fashion News Director Jane Keltner, Senior Editor Kimball Hastings and Fashion Director Gloria Baume spoke to high school students enrolled in the This is Fashion! introductory course.

LIM's Fashion Lab: Summer in the City program gives high schoolers the opportunity to begin to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to enter the fashion industry and explore career options as they study the business of fashion with talented professionals.

This is Fashion! is a week-long exploration of the exciting career opportunities the fashion industry offers. Participants can then continue with one-week classes that provide in-depth knowledge in the areas of their choice. New courses introduced this year include Trend Spotting and Celebrity Styling. Another new course, Behind the Scenes: Fashion Field Trip takes students on site at leading fashion companies.

Fashion Lab: Summer in the City takes place at LIM from July 9 through August 3. For more information, please contact LIM's Admissions Office at (212) 752-1530 Extension 289 or click here for more information.
