Directions to 12 East 53rd St. (between Fifth and Madison Aves.)

LIM's Office of Admissions is located here.
Due to heavy traffic during weekdays and the high cost of parking, public transportation is strongly recommended. If you do travel by car, 53rd St. is one way going west. Paid parking lots are available in the vicinity.

VIA SUBWAY - Take the E or V line to the 5th Ave/53rd St. stop. LIM is located on East 53rd St. between Fifth and Madison Avenues.

FROM POINTS WEST AND SOUTH:

TRAIN - New Jersey Transit or Amtrak: From New York's Penn Station take the "E" subway line uptown to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street stop.

BUS - Take any private bus line to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Then take the "E" subway line uptown to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street stop.

CAR - Take the New Jersey Turnpike to the Lincoln Tunnel/Route 3 Exit (16E). Upon exiting the Lincoln Tunnel drive east across town, following signs for the "East Side." Make a left at Madison Avenue. Travel uptown on Madison to 53rd Street and make a left onto it. LIM is halfway down the street on the left side.

FROM POINTS EAST:

TRAIN: Take the Long Island Railroad to Penn Station. Take the "E" subway line uptown to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street stop.

BUS: Take any private bus line to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Then take the "E" subway line uptown to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street stop.

CAR: Take the Long Island Expressway (495 West) to the Midtown Tunnel. You will exit the tunnel at or near 34th Street. Drive west on 34th Street to Madison Avenue. Make a right onto Madison, heading uptown. When you come to 53rd Street, make a left. LIM is halfway down the street on the left side.

FROM POINTS NORTH AND NORTHEAST:

TRAIN: Take Metro North to Grand Central Station. Walk through the tunnel to the 47th Street exit. Upon exiting the station, look for Madison Avenue and walk uptown on Madison to 53rd Street. Make a left onto 53rd street. LIM is halfway down the street on the left side.

BUS: Take any private bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal. Take the "E" subway line uptown to the 5th Avenue/53rd Street stop.

CAR: Take I-95 South to the Cross Bronx Expressway, heading west. Go to the Harlem River Drive South, which turns into the FDR Drive. Take the FDR Drive South to the 53rd Street exit. Drive across town heading west on 53rd Street. LIM is on the left side between Madison and 5th Avenues. 
OR take 87 South to I-95 South and follow the above directions. 

Directions to 545 Fifth Avenue (7th floor)

From Penn Station
Take the uptown 1, 2 or 3 subway train one stop to 42nd St./Times Square. Transfer to the Queens-bound 7 train and travel one stop to 5th Ave./Bryant Park. Walk north on 5th Ave. to 45th St. Enter 545 5th Ave. on 45th St. between 5th and Madison Aves.

From the Port Authority Bus Terminal
Take the Queens-bound 7 subway train and travel one stop to 5th Ave./Bryant Park. Walk north on 5th Ave. to 45th St. Enter 545 5th Ave. on 45th St. between 5th and Madison Aves.

From Grand Central Station
Walk north on Madison Ave. to 45th St. Enter 545 5th Ave. on 45th St. between 5th and Madison Aves.

Directions to 216 East 45th Street (2nd Floor)

From Penn Station
Take the 1, 2 or 3 subway lines uptown one stop to 42nd St. /Times Square. Transfer to the 7 line (in the Queens-bound direction) and travel two stops to Grand Central Station. When you exit Grand Central, go to 42nd St. and walk east. Turn left onto 3rd Avenue, then walk 3 blocks and make a right onto East 45th St. 216 East 45th St. is between 3rd and 2nd Aves.

From the Port Authority Bus Terminal
