LIM College Launches New Portal for Single Sign-On
Access commonly used applications from one location
LIM College has partnered with Campus EAI, a consortium of over 250 higher education institutions, to create the new “MyLIM” portal.
The main purpose of the MyLIM portal is to assist students, faculty, and staff with password management via Single Sign-On. Single Sign On, or SSO, is a technology that will allow the LIM College community to access all their password-protected accounts using just their LIM College username and password.
Once they are logged in, users will be able to launch a variety of applications without having to remember or enter the individual passwords associated with each account. Applications that can be accessed via MyLIM include Blackboard, Sonis, Citrix, LIM College email, and many others.
The roll-out of the MyLIM platform will occur in phases, the first of which will take place on September 10. Subsequent phased deployments will launch new features that may include community groups, messaging, personal profiles and blogs, and integrated calendars. MyLIM will eventually have a companion mobile app, allowing access to all these features via cell phone or tablet.
