Majors & Concentrations
Undergraduates at LIM College choose from four fashion-focused majors:
Combining product development, textiles, manufacturing, and retailing, this major prepares you to identify trends in the fashion industry and develop lines of merchandise. You can choose a track in Apparel & Accessories or Home Fashions, and career options range from fashion director and brand manager to product developer and fashion stylist.
In this major, you’ll learn to lead effective teams and communicate with customers, merchants, designers, and manufacturers. And you’ll prepare for a career in buying, management, manufacturing or other aspects of the fashion business.
This brand-focused program teaches you how to identify customers’ desires, and how to deliver pleasing solutions in a timely and effective manner. Career options in marketing include account executive, media planner, marketing director, and promotions manager.
The field of visual merchandising is all about creating compelling displays and memorable branded environments to attract customers. You’ll learn about design elements and techniques, and prepare for careers like showroom director or visual merchandiser.
