Internships & More

No matter which fashion major you choose at LIM College, you’ll gain plenty of professional experience in the fashion industry here in the heart of New York City.

Your hands-on experience begins your first year, with an internship in retailing. Our students have done first-year internships at New York landmarks including Bloomingdale’s, Gucci, TopShop, and Juicy Couture.

During your second year internship, you can explore different aspects of the fashion industry—marketing, visual merchandising, fashion management, public relations. Our students have interned at companies including Prada, Conde Nast publications, and Valentino.

As a senior, you’ll spend a whole semester working full time in an area of the fashion business that interests you. Recent Senior Co-op internships have taken students to companies including MTV, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to gain experience by volunteering at New York Fashion Week, market weeks, trunk shows, and more.
