Technology Resources


Starting Thursday, July 16th at 3pm, the IT Department will begin the process of upgrading all of LIM’s network infrastructure, necessary to maintain the continued health and operation of college technology services.

The majority of the work will occur on Thursdays and Fridays during the next 6 weeks, in preparation for the start of our fall semester. The IT Department will send email reminders 24 hours prior to the anticipated outages.

Below is a schedule of downtime dates, the affected services, and estimated downtime. Please review and plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the IT Department.

Maxwell Hall – Thursday 7/16 – starting: 3pm until Friday 7/17 – end: 12pm

The following services will be affected:

  • Access to the internet
  • Local workstations service at Maxwell Hall - on all floors
  • Local telephone service at Maxwell Hall - on all floors
  • Access to MyLIM ( visit our website for direct access to external applications:
  • LIM College Email
  • Access to “my documents” and “desktop documents”
  • Citrix Remote Access
  • SonisWeb
  • Public K Drive
  • Student and Faculty Share
  • Ability to leave a voicemail message (due to maintenance being performed on our email system)
  • Printing and Scanning
  • Department Applications such as Advisortrac, Class Climate, PowerFaids, Dynamics GP, Raisers Edge, Track-IT, Schooldude, and Slate.
  • Student Applications such as Visual Retailing, WebPDM

Technologies not affected:


5th Avenue – Friday 7/24 - 9am to 5pm (College is closed, external programs will continue)

The following services will be affected:

  • Internet at all LIM College locations
  • Local Workstations and telephone service at 5th Avenue
  • Wireless Access at 5th Avenue
  • Printing and Scanning at 5th Avenue
  • Access to MyLIM ( visit our website for direct access to external applications:
  • External Email Access including Webmail and Smartphone Email.
  • Citrix “my documents” and “desktop documents”
  • Schooldude
  • Library Services - Sirsi and EZProxy
  • Footprints
  • PFNetpartner

Townhouse – Friday 7/31 - 9am (College is closed)

The following services will be affected:

  • Local workstations telephone service at the Townhouse
  • Wireless Access at the Townhouse
  • Printing and Scanning at the Townhouse

Maxwell Hall 3rd, 8th and 14th IDF Migration – Thursday 8/6 12pm (College is open. If affected, we ask that you move to a non-affected area, in Maxwell Hall, the Townhouse or 5th Avenue)

The following services will be affected:

  • Local workstations/IP Phones on all 3 floors
  • Wireless Access on all 3 floors\
  • Printing and Scanning on all 3 Floors

Please check the LIM College website and the main College voicemail (212-752-1530) for status updates regarding when the network resources will be restored.

We ask for everyone’s cooperation during this important process and appreciate your patience, as this process is necessary and unavoidable.

Maxwell Hall – 9am – 8pm Monday through Thursday. 9am – 5pm Friday.
5th Avenue – 8am – 4pm Monday through Friday
Townhouse – 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday
