Support Groups and Group Counseling
Although you are unique, you share similar experiences and common concerns with your fellow students. The Office of Counseling & Wellness Services offers support groups and group counseling for students who seek to receive support and feedback from a counseling professional and their peers. Groups provide a unique setting in which you can learn you are not alone in your circumstances. You will learn about yourself, others and how you relate to others. Over time this learning process facilitates a positive change in your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
Groups are usually no more than 8-10 students and will be scheduled according to student demand. To register for a group please email Counseling&Wellness@limcollege.edu. Please follow us on Campus TV for updates to our group topics and our group scheduling.

Commuter Student Group
Finding time for academic or social activities is challenging as a commuter. Join us to meet other commuters, share feelings about your commute and find opportunities to make the most of your college experience. The upcoming meeting will be on February 25th at 4:45-5:45PM in the Townhouse Conference Room on the 5th Floor (through the faculty lounge). Additional meetings to be announced.
Transfer Student Group
A discussion group designed to assist and support your transition to LIM College by fostering a sense of community. Open to all LIM College Transfer students whether this is your first semester or you are a continuing student. The upcoming meeting will be on February 19th, 1:00-2:00pm in Maxwell Hall 3rd floor Conference Room. Additional meetings to be announced.
Living with a Stranger
Living with a stranger is not easy. The purpose of this group is to share common roommate issues and discuss strategies to establish a healthy relationship with your roommate. First meeting is January 30 at 7:30PM in the Residence Hall first floor lounge. Additional meetings to be announced.
Work, school, internships, and relationships….balancing your life is not easy. Take 50 minutes to reduce your stress and increase your focus and concentration using mindfulness and meditation. First meeting to be on February 26th, 4:00-5:00pm at the 5th Avenue Conference room. Additional meetings to be accounted.
