Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Together, we set out to hold both Hybrid Virtual and Hybrid In-Person classes right up until the week of Thanksgiving. Guess what? WE DID IT!! Thanks to all of you who did whatever was asked of you to keep each other safe!

Since Thanksgiving is just one week away, we thought we’d share:

4 Answers to Questions You Didn’t Ask

  • Will all classes be in the Hybrid Virtual format starting Mon. Nov. 23?
    • Yup!
    • Starting Mon. Nov. 23, and going through Dec. 18, all classes will be held remotely in the Hybrid Virtual format.
  • Is it true that Maxwell Hall will be open even though classes are being held remotely?
    • You bet!
    • Maxwell Hall will be open for those who would like to use the library, computer labs and study spaces from 9am to 5pm, Mondays through Thursdays. However, given the surge in COVID-19 cases in the NYC area and the fact that NYC public schools have made the shift to close their facilities effective immediately, please be on the lookout at www.limcollege.edu/coronavirus_updates for any updates.
  • Should I do anything in particular to keep myself and others safe over the holiday?
    • Absolutely!
    • Please do your best to keep unnecessary travel to a minimum, to quarantine as needed should you travel to another state, wear your masks, wash your hands, maintain a safe social distance, and follow health and safety protocols.
  • Anything else I need to think about before I go?
    • Kinda!
    • Stay tuned for updates about developing changes to New York State quarantine and testing protocols and other important announcements related to the last few weeks of the Fall 2020 semester and the opening of the Spring 2021 semester. We need to be prepared to “pivot” depending on the circumstances, so we can work and learn successfully no matter what.

Keep up the great work both in and out of the classroom and above all, stay safe and healthy! Happy Thanksgiving!
