A president is a leader, the person that people can depend on for answers and guidance when needed. That is why I want to run for LIM College’s Student Government President. I am dependable, active, and aware of the students as well as the issues here at LIM College. As president, my hopes are to break down many of the barriers that we have; whether “student to student,” or “student to professor" and to surpass the “status quo” and help all the students understand that we all make a difference here at LIM College. If elected I hope to do my best so that this upcoming year, we will see many new innovations and new accomplishments.

You can rest assured that I will represent your interests and advocate on your behalf.

To be a part of LIM College's Student Government Association is not just any position, but a leadership position to be the voice of the LIM Community, more specifically, our student body. I feel that I am more than qualified to become a representative for the students because, I am an actively involved student, but also am a very passionate student. I was the President of my High School and part of the honor society. Here at LIM, I am the current Secretary of the Student Council, a Student Ambassador, a member of the College’s Disciplinary Hearing Board and lastly, a Orientation Leader. I have also volunteered to help out in numerous other events and projects. Being so involved has allowed me to see many aspects and views of many students and believe that I can help our SGA and effectively and successfully fulfill all duties, projects, etc. My outgoing, hardworking, "go-getter" personality would be great qualities to contribute to all that I have to offer.

I am a dedicated Resident Hall Council (RHC) member who wants to improve life at 1760. I am qualified for this position because I am reliable, friendly, trustworthy, and a hard worker. I am running for Residential Representative to be a voice for the residents. Having an open door policy is something I would like to encourage. If I become a Residential Representative I will do my best to represent the residents at all times. I will work towards building a stronger LIM College community. An issue I would like to work on is weekend programming for residential students. I hope to get more students involved and engaged over the weekend with superb programming.

Change can come LIM College’s way! Hi my name is Rachel Rabb and I am from Boston, MA. I’m running for Service Projects/Wellness Chair to drastically get more students involved with community service and live a better lifestyle. Too often students are too busy to get involved in community service projects. I want to set up different community service events that could work into any student’s schedule. Also I would like to get the students more involved with their health. I want to plan fun and informational events for student well being. I believe I am well qualified for this position because, I have been involved with many community service events and organized a lot of them. I have gained great leadership skills from my involvement. One example of my favorite community service experiences was my involvement in Big Brother, Big Sister my senior year of high school. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I also have experience in well-being and health. I used to work at a hospital where I worked closely with the Nutrition Department. I believe a lot of my previous experiences and my determination can truly turn around student’s views about community service and wellness.
