Pamela Mufson Marketing - Class of 2013

“To study the business end of fashion I did not want to attend a college which only had a major in fashion marketing or merchandising. I wanted to be at a college that specialized in it.”

During her freshman year at LIM College, Pamela Mufson launched Ela Rae, a jewelry line that features handmade beaded bracelets. And in February 2011, Ela Rae made its retail debut at one of the world's landmark shopping destinations -- Henri Bendel on Fifth Avenue.

The Norwood, New Jersey native has also been busy taking advantage of LIM’s internship programs. She’s worked at Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, and Williamson PR and Showroom, gaining experience in human resources, fashion merchandising and public relations.

Pamela says that her classes have impacted the way she runs her jewelry business. “Spreadsheet Applications has helped me keep my business organized -- from sourcing to keeping track of inventory. And Applied Concepts of Fashion Merchandising taught me to create sourcing plans and costing sheets, which are essential to keep track of what's going on.”
