As we begin construction and renovations that will be completed in time for the Fall 2021 semester, we’re putting the student experience first.

Highlights:

  • A “one-stop shop” in Maxwell Hall for all student services, including Advising, Student Financial Services, the Office of the Registrar, Student Affairs, and more.

  • New spaces will foster collaboration, engagement, and flexibility. Some classrooms are being re-imagined, along with a mix of quiet study spaces, student lounges, and cozy “hang-outs.”

  • A common lunch hour will take place Monday through Thursday from 12:55-2:00 pm.  No classes will be scheduled during this time. Students will be free to mingle, attend club meetings, and collaborate with faculty, staff and their peers.

  • To cut down on travel time between buildings, classes will no longer be held in the Townhouse (12 East 53rd St.) and all classrooms and offices will be moved to Maxwell Hall (216 East 45th St.) or Fifth Avenue (545 5th Ave.).

  • We will allow students to select the kind of classes that best suit their learning style and schedule. This can include a mix of classes, some of which have in-person components and some that don’t.
