Provost Search Update - April 2023

Hello,

I am pleased to share an April update on the progress of the Provost Search process.

The Search Committee and the Executive Team - Liz Marcuse and Mike Donohue, had the opportunity to conduct virtual interviews with 11 potential candidates for the Provost role.

We are excited to share that together, we have identified three finalists that are being invited to come to campus during the week of May 1st.

These in-person interviews will include conversations with students, alumni, full-time and adjunct faculty, direct reports, academic chairs and deans, members of LIM College’s Board of Directors, staff, and the President’s Cabinet.

An in-person interview is not only an opportunity for us to get to know candidates better, but it is also an opportunity for candidates to experience LIM College for the first time and get to know our community better. We are asking for your support in welcoming candidates to campus in the following ways.

Support Needed:

  • We are working with the search firm to finalize the itinerary for the on-campus interviews and will begin reaching out very soon to those involved.
  • We are asking that all offices are fully staffed on:
    • Monday, May 1st
    • Tuesday, May 2nd and
    • Friday, May 5th: We understand that this is usually a remote day; however, we’d love to be able to demonstrate our vibrant campus to each candidate and ensure that they have a consistent experience while on-campus. Please adjust your schedule that week to be present on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If there are any major conflicts, you can reach out to Carolyn McIntosh to discuss.
  • If you see new faces on-campus the week of May 1st, be sure to give them a warm LIM College welcome!

We look forward to hosting these individuals on campus, and for them to experience the College first-hand. We thank you in advance for your flexibility and support.

If you have any questions regarding the Provost Search, please feel free to contact Carolyn McIntosh or me.

Best regards,

Christopher Barto
