Writing

Math

Students who choose not to submit ACT/SAT scores and do not take the LIM College placement test will automatically be placed into corequisite developmental courses in Writing and Math.

For those who chose to complete the LIM College placement test, study guides are provided once students are admitted to the college and have access to MyLIM portal.  It is highly recommended that students review the study guides prior to taking the test.

Additional information, including timeline and instructions, will be communicated to students prior to new student registration.

  • Those international students who do not have the appropriate ACT/SAT scores, and/or do not have equivalent transfer credit, will be required to complete both the English and mathematics placement tests (available online).

Note: Placement Exams are completed online through the college’s learning management system (Canvas).

LIM College offers select courses in a distance learning format, giving students in on-campus programs flexibility in satisfying the requirements toward their degree.

Distance Learning

Canvas is our easy-to-use online course management system that is available 24/7. Through Canvas, instructors can post syllabi, readings, and assignments and communicate via email, virtual chats or discussion boards.
