Tired of reading long complicated emails about COVID-19 procedures? Us too! Here’s the scoop!
Do Hybrid In-Person Classes resume on campus on Monday, March 29th?
Yup! All Hybrid In-Person classes will resume on campus starting Monday, March 29th…BUT…
Do we still have to do the self-administered COVID testing in Maxwell Hall once a week?
Can I take a COVID test somewhere else and show you proof so I don’t have to do any of this?
Can I take the self-administered COVID test at any point during my time on campus?
NOPE! For the week beginning Monday, March 29th, you will need to go to Maxwell Hall BEFORE your first class to complete your self-administered test. Yes, BEFORE you go to class. You will receive a wristband as proof that you tested and won’t be allowed into class without it! Your ID won’t work either.
That’s annoying…why do we have to test before class this time?
Easy…safety! It’s been a while since we’ve all been on campus and with Spring Break and people travelling, we need to make sure that our self-administered testing results are as accurate as possible in order to keep our community safe. It’s a small inconvenience for us all but a huge step toward our shared responsibility and safety.
But I didn’t travel during Spring Break. Do I still have to do the self-administered test BEFORE my first class?
Um…I travelled during Spring Break. In addition to the self-administered testing, is there anything extra I need to do?
Yup! If you travelled ANYWHERE outside of New York and the contiguous states (Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Vermont) during Spring Break, you must check the NYS COVID Website and follow the specified quarantine and testing protocols BEFORE coming back to campus. We are all counting on you to be honest and uphold your shared responsibility. Remember to reach out to your faculty members to stay on top of course work!
Did you expand the testing hours so we can get this done before class without a problem?
Yup! Maxwell Hall will be open for testing between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. the week of March 29 – April 2.
Yup! Don’t forget to pick up your free Starbucks gift card on your way out of Maxwell Hall. It’s our small way of saying thank you for taking your shared responsibility seriously and helping to keep LIM safe!
