Horton is co-founder of the Minority Cannabis Business Association, the first and largest non-profit organization developed to create equal access and economic empowerment for cannabis businesses and the communities affected by the war on drugs. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Resource Innovation Institute, an organization focused on creating energy efficiency solutions and standards for the global cannabis industry, and he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Cannabis Association.

Author of The Cannabis Business Book, Zaytsev is the founder of High NY, one of the world’s largest cannabis industry education and networking groups. High NY events have educated thousands of people both within and outside of the industry on various cannabis-related topics. Zaytsev has also served as a Cannabis Industry Mentor for the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps entrepreneurship training program.
