competition winnersThanks to their impressive knowledge of the uses of cotton in fashion, four LIM College students will receive scholarships.

As part of a College-wide competition, called "Cotton Speaks," Elizabeth Cordi ‘19, Baylen Edwards-Miller ’19, Sabrina Floccuzio ’19 and Luciano Di Giorgio ’20, worked throughout the Spring 2018 semester to create an original, interactive Blackboard VoiceThread video to educate the LIM community on all things cotton.

The students’ video submissions were then judged by a panel of LIM College faculty. The team of Elizabeth, Baylen and Sabrina won first place and Luciano was awarded second place. The winning team’s video will be made available through a campus-wide repository, and Elizabeth, Baylen and Sabrina will present their work at an upcoming Marcuse Lecture Series event on the LIM campus.

Funding for this project was awarded through a competitive grant presented to LIM College by the Importer Support Program of the Cotton Board and Cotton Incorporated.
