January 22, 2018
Erica earned a Master of Professional Studies degree in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management in LIM College’s online program.
What’s happening in your career now?
I work at Luxottica Group as an Operations Coordinator. Luxottica is a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of fashion, luxury, sports and performance eyewear.
I am on the National Sports Key Accounts Team and manage the Oakley and Ray-Ban orders to service large retailers such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Modell’s, and Academy Sports + Outdoors.
What did you like best about your master’s degree program?
I loved that the program could be completed in as little as 10 months. Each of the 10 courses I took directly pertained to the business of fashion and current industry expectations, especially with the growth of technology and omni-channel retailing today.
What did you learn that you’re now applying in your current position?
Retail math, consumer behavior as it relates to communicating with customers, technology trends and omni-channel functions.
What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about getting their master’s degree in the business of fashion?
If you’re looking for a straightforward program in the business of fashion that allows for creativity, flexibility and a plethora of opportunities, you should consider applying to LIM College. Pursuing my master’s degree at LIM was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career and future goals.
