Uri Minkoff, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Rebecca Minkoff, one of the fastest-growing brands in the fashion industry, and the largest global fashion label led by a female millennial designer, appeared at LIM College’s CEO Speaker Series on April 18.

Uri is well-known as a forward-thinking CEO in fashion, especially when it comes to the innovative use of new technologies and the omnichannel customer experience. In 2015, he was credited with leading the fashion industry towards a “see now, buy now” calendar for runway shows. Uri is also a driving force behind what Morgan Stanley describes as the “stores of the future”  and a highly sought-after speaker on the nexus between fashion, retail and emerging technologies.

Uri spoke to LIM’s MBA and MPS students about the technological innovations that Rebecca Minkoff retail stores have implemented to enhance their customers’ shopping experience, including digital changing rooms with interactive mirrors that merge online and physical shopping.

He also discussed Rebecca Minkoff’s decision to show in-season fashion during their February show, as well as the company’s work in wearable technology.
