Fall 2016 Career Fair

Over 300 students and 39 companies attended LIM’s Fall 2016 Career Fair. During the event, LIM students and alumni met with representatives across a range of industries who were seeking to fill internships and entry-level employment opportunities.

Says Todd Lotcpeich, Associate Director of Employer Management & Alumni relations, “The Career Fair was a great success. Initial feedback from both students and employers has been overwhelmingly positive. Employers indicated that they felt students were prepared, dressed appropriately, and conducted proper research on their organizations.”

This was also the first time that two Career Advisors, Caroline Burke and Heather Wright, conducted a two-part Career Fair Prep Workshop prior to the event. These sessions covered basic information on writing and revising a resume, how to prepare a personal pitch, and ways to make a positive and lasting impression on employers.

“While employer comments are always positive, a few said this was the best event they have attended to date,” explained Todd.  “A lot of credit goes to our students for taking the initiative to prepare for this event properly and I am sure that they will see the results by being contacted for opportunities.”
