Fashion Now & Then Conference: Fashion and Sustainability

The Adrian G. Marcuse Library at LIM College will hold its seventh annual Fashion: Now & Then conference October 19 – 21 at the LIM College Townhouse. Fashion: Now & Then is a three-day event in which participants discuss the past, present, and future uses of fashion information. This year’s theme is Fashion and Sustainability.

Presenters are drawn from the fashion industry, libraries, archives, academic institutions, publishers, collectors, and museums throughout the world. The conference’s keynote speaker will be fashion designer Mara Hoffman.

A number of LIM College faculty members will discuss their work, including Dr. Nicole Kirpalani, Chair of the Marketing, Management & Finance Department, who will address 3D printing’s potential effect on the apparel industry. Students in LIM’s “Sustainability and the Future of Fashion” course will also participate as presenters this year.
