LIM College Professor Named as a Finalist for an FGI Rising Star Award

Sue Phillips, who teaches LIM College’s “The Secret World of Scent” course, has been named as a finalist in the Beauty/Fragrance Entrepreneur category of Fashion Group International’s (FGI) prestigious annual Rising Star Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on January 28, 2016 at Cipriani 42nd Street.

A recognized expert in her field, Phillips has held executive positions with Elizabeth Arden and Lancôme, and as Vice President of Fragrance Marketing at Tiffany & Co. she launched Tiffany perfume, which she created with the chief perfumer from the House of Chanel in Paris.

Sue’s entrepreneurial spirit flourished when she founded her own company Scenterprises Inc, through which she’s developed and created brands for Avon, Burberry, Trish McEvoy, and many others. She’s also been featured in many popular media outlets, including O and Allure magazines, as well as on ABC, CBS, and FOX television.

A true pioneer in bespoke fragrances, two years ago Phillips opened the first-ever custom fragrance studio, The Scentarium, in Tribeca. There, bespoke perfumes have been created for many celebrities, including Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes.
