LIM College Student Named as Finalist in National Scholarship Competition

LIM College senior Kelsey White has been named as a finalist in the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation’s Next Generation Scholarship program. Kelsey now has the chance to win $25,000 in the prestigious nationwide competition.

Kelsey’s next step in the process will be an interview with Ellen Davis, President of the NRFF, and other retail industry executives. Then, Kelsey and fellow LIM College students Jessie Karagosian and Tori Sandness (semi-finalists in this year’s competition) will attend the NRF Student Program and Gala, which takes place during the NRF Big Show at New York City’s Javits Center in January. During these events, the $25,000 scholarship winner will be announced and all students involved will participate in mentoring sessions and network with retail company executives.

Only five national Next Generation finalists were selected, including students from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Texas A&M University, Indiana University, and Kent State University. The four runners-up will receive $10,000 scholarships.
