LIM Faculty Member to Speak at U.N. Fashion Sustainability Event

Andrea Reyes, an adjunct faculty member in LIM College’s Fashion Merchandising department, will address sustainability in the fashion industry from an academic point of view at the UN + Sustainable Fashion panel discussion on November 16.

The Fashion and Sustainability briefing titled “Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good” will cover fashion as a vehicle for change. Patrick Duffy, founder of Global Fashion Exchange, will serve as moderator. A sustainable fashion showcase will follow the discussion.

In addition to teaching at LIM College, Reyes is the co-founder of A. Bernadette, a sustainable brand sold nationwide that she was inspired to create after living in Uganda for two years. She collaborates with artisans from Jinja, Uganda to design accessories, bags and home goods from recycled materials.

LIM students are welcome to attend this event. Please RSVP by 12 p.m. on Nov. 14.
