LIM Professor Examines Social Responsibility in Marketing

John Keane, who teaches in LIM College’s Marketing, Management & Finance department and MPS program in Fashion Marketing, plays a key role in the interpretation of survey data for The Internationalist, a trusted resource for best practices in the advertising, marketing and media industries.

His current work with the publication includes developing a series called “Intelligence Briefs,” which examines marketing trends by collecting data from chief marketing officers from top companies around the world. It is The Internationalist’s first attempt at covering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) — or “purposeful marketing” — and includes results from industry-wide surveys, quotes and comments from industry leaders, as well as CSR-related case studies.

An industry veteran, Professor Keane most recently served as Executive Director, Corporate Marketing and Strategy of Bauer Media Group. He has also held senior marketing positions at Conde’ Nast Publications and began his publishing career at Time Inc. where he served in positions in marketing, research and sales development at People Magazine.
