LIM STUDENT NAMED SEMIFINALIST IN NATIONAL RETAIL FEDERATION FOUNDATION COMPETITION
June 4, 2020
LIM student Erin Sallee (Class of 2021) has been selected as a semifinalist in this year's National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation’s Next Generation Scholarship program.
Erin is one of 25 semifinalists, narrowed down from nearly a hundred applicants representing 44 NRF University Member Schools. The selectees, each of whom has already clinched a $1,000 tuition scholarship, will now compete for four finalist spots that could earn them $10,000 scholarships. The competition's ultimate winner will receive a grand prize scholarship in the amount of $25,000.
Erin earned her spot by submitting an essay and a personal brand video, among other academic credentials. The Fashion Merchandising major, and her fellow semifinalists, achieved this amid uniquely challenging circumstances, with the Coronavirus causing campus closures across the country this spring.
“As our most prestigious award, the NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship honors undergraduate students who have the drive, passion and desire to make a positive impact on the retail industry,” NRF Foundation Executive Director Bill Thorne says. “We are impressed by what our semifinalists have accomplished so far, and we are looking forward to supporting their professional growth throughout this competition.”
