LIM Students Named Semifinalists in National Scholarship Competition

Two LIM College students have been named as semifinalists in the 2020 National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation’s Next Generation Scholarship program.

Juniors Maddy Medby (left) and Jordan Whiteman (right) are among a group of 25 students from NRF Foundation member schools who will now compete for four finalist spots, which would earn them $10,000 scholarships. The competition's ultimate winner will be announced at next year's NRF Foundation Gala and will receive a $25,000 scholarship.

Jordan and Maddy earned their spots as semifinalists by submitting an essay about a retailer that is having an impact on the industry, along with a personal video. As part of the next round of competition, they will be completing an industry case study and having interviews with retailers to discuss their submissions and career goals.
